Just as there is no compromise in Dunikowski's sculptures (this controversial artist used an authentic firearm in a polemic with a critic), we have set our sights on juxtaposing the progressive and revolutionary forms of the best applied art designers, creating a worthy setting for them.
A few words about the project
Apartment by the Królikarnia – Warsaw.
The interior on the 13th floor of an apartment building located in the green line of Warsaw’s parks, not far from Królikarnia, which with its outdoor sculpture exhibition combines modernity with the history of the place. The Sculpture Park under the patronage of Xawery Dunikowski inspired us to juxtapose modern, sculptural forms in this interior. In the open space we can admire the bold line of Osvaldo Cavandola’s graphic artist Linea in Bold chairs, expressive linear lighting and Giorgio Cattelan’s massive table visible from different perspectives. The objects and the delicate wall carving create an expressive piling up and jostling of forms, bringing gentle movement towards the glass façade of the apartment overlooking the green city of Warsaw. The spiral, lace staircase emphasizes the risers and with its victorious phallic touch leads us into the privacy of the mezzanine with the library.
Just as there is no compromise in Dunikowski’s sculptures (this controversial artist used an authentic firearm in polemic with a critic), we have opted for a juxtaposition of progressive and revolutionary forms from the best designers of applied art, creating a worthy setting for them. I hope that coming back from the Slaughter Park from Królikarnia we will feel equally good and unique in this place.
